NSAID Anti-Inflamati: Tramadol is an opiod pain killer. Helps relieve pain, but the underlying problem is inflammation. NSAIDS is a Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug to help reduce the Inflammation of your tendonitis. Motrin is a good NSAID but is hard on stomach. Taken as a patch is directly absorbed into blood stream.

NSAIDs: Assuming your diagnosis is tendonitis, your physical therapist likely recommended an NSAID patch to directly to your Achilles tendon to reduce inflammation. NSAID patches are indicated for acute episodes of inflammation including tendinitis. You can also consider systemic (oral) NSAIDs such as ibuprofen or aleve (naproxen).
