Yes: It would be highly unlikely for the costochondritis to persist forever. You may want to consider localized steroid injections. Also, topical nsaids such as voltaren gel or Flector Patch (diclofenac) may help. Also consider pt which can include electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and iontophoresis.
