Don't do these: Unhealthy ways to deal with stress and depression: 1) smoking, 2) drinking too much, 3) withdrawing from friends and family; 4) believe all negative thoughts; 5) zone out in front of the tv or computer every day; 6) check out with pills; 7) sleep too much, 8) lash out at others; 9) keep all feelings bottled up--.

What to do: To address stress: talk about feelings ; address problems. Don't avoid them. Aim for 7.5 - 8 hours of sleep/ night. Daily physical activity is optimal in a green space. Eat healthfully. Cut out junk carbs, caffeine ; alcohol (or moderate). Try qi gong, tai chi, acupuncture, acupressure, homeopathy, meditation, yoga, exercise program, deep breathing exercises or progressive muscle relaxation.
