Yes: Depends on where the obstruction is happening. By choking you may mean your windpipe or airway and you could vomit by trying to expel the obstruction out. Something this works. Your obstruction choking can also happen in esophagus and propelling stomach contents (aka vomitting) can dislodge obstruction sometimes.
