GERD/Fistula: If this has been on going since birth there is the small possibility that an undiagnosed tracheo-esophageal fistula may be present. Gastroesophageal reflux maight also cause this to occur.

TEF, GERD I agree are in the differential. I would suggest having your PCP observe a feeding. There may be a problem with coordination of the swallowing mechanism.
