Anatomical?: I wonder if you are an adult or a child as different age groups have different reasons. However, if you have frequent and/ or recurrent ear infection, middle ear, then your friendly ENT will be your best help.

Ear infection: It depends on why type of infection you have. External ear infections are commonly caused by excessive swimming or over aggressive q-tip use. Middle ear infections can be from sinus problems, viral infections or even a perforation of the ear drum. Some people are predisposed to get them, however. See an ENT for an evaluation.
