Need evaluation.: Do you have problem getting air in or pushing air out? Do you have trouble talking when you have shortness of breath? Do you get short of breath less than 5 minutes after exercise? If so, consult your allergist to find out if you may have vocal cord dysfunction (vcd) which may or may not co-exist with asthma. The DX of vcd is often not recognized for many years.

Laryngospasm: It can be vocal cord dysfunction but you do not describe any of your symptoms. You also cannot be allergic to all foods. You really need to see an allergist to guide you with your symptoms and determine your allergies properly.
