BURSITIS OF WHAT?: Bursitis can affect many areas such as the shoulders, hips, elbows, and knees. Local treatment includes topical anti-inflammatories, ice alternating with heat. Local cortisone injections can be helpful. Also oral anti-inflammatories can be helpful also such as advil or aleve (naproxen).
