Up to 6 weeks: Shoulder bursitis typically resolves with appropriate treatment within 6 weeks or so. Treatment options include rest, ice, nsaids, and sometimes a subacromial steroid shot. Symptoms that don't resolve or that persist should be further investigated to make sure there is not something else going on....
