Trust him: As long as the infant is gaining weight along the normal range of his/her growth chart, don't worry about day to day eating habits. You can trust his/her appetite at this age, and it's typical for the appetite to go up & down with growth spurts. Never force a child to eat. If the infant is underweight, see your pediatrician right away.
