Exertional?: Chest discomfort that is brought on by exertion, relieved by rest is worrisome. Discomfort going on for days is unlikely to be cardiac. If your chest is sore to touch or gets worse with cough/deep breath, it's not due to coronary disease. If you're not sure, & esp if this is new, you should go to the er for a checkup. Always better safe than sorry. You'll at least feel reassured to get checked.

Chest pain: Your chest symptom does not sound like a cardiac related pain. There are many possibilities but musculoskeletal pain is the most likely from your description.
