A member asked:

If i ask my gp for vitamin and hormone blood tests, is he likely to oblige?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hopefully not: There are hundreds of different tests for vitamins and hormones. Your doctor should decide what tests are appropriate, based on your symptoms and clinical findings. Randomly checking hormone levels and most vitamins (except vitamin d) is a waste of time, money, and can be misleading.
