You do not need blood monitoring for Rivaroxaban. You would do well to ask your GP about questions or concerns when you visit to reduce your anxieties. When the concern arise jot them down so you do not forget when you go for your visits. Do not worry your medication is different from other blood thinners.

Watch for signs of shortness of breath, chest pain and leg swelling. If you have any respiratory difficulty, please proceed to the Emergency room and a CTA will most likely be ordered with a D Dimer test. Since you are on treatment, there is less chance of a PE. More information would be helpful-- have you had a PE previously and is there a family history?
