How do i know if lexapro (escitalopram) is working? been 6 weeks now. should i generally just feel "happier" or just "not depressed/anxious"? whats the highest dosage?

Depressed: Not feeling depressed or anxious means it's working .20 mg is the maximum dose.

Feel like yourself: As with any antidepressant, goal isn't just to make your feel "not depressed/anxious" but rather to make you feel as good as you should (clinically, we're trying to help you achieve euthymia). Think of response (50% better), remission (all better) & recovery (remission x 6mo).
