Studying: It's really good that you are trying to study and to understand as much as possible. It's not weird, it's even fairly common, just not the most common way to read or the fastest - but that is okay for most purposes. Do you go to a school? Do they have counselors? If so, they can help. If you make little or no noise (mouthing) it need not bother others. Try a simple "i hope this won't disturb you".
