Avoid sweets: Babies like fruits because they are sweet. Make sure that you look closely at the labels and avoid baby foods that add salt, sugar, and cereal fillers. Many people make their own baby foods from fresh vegetables because they taste so much better and you can control the ingredients. We want babies to avoid getting a sweet tooth where they are only willing to eat things that are sweetened.

Yes.: Generally, the least amount of fruit you can get away with. The important question is, how's the weight gain? If excessive, you don't need to encourage more intake.
