Likely not: About 85% of normal couples may take up to a year to conceive, so you are well within normal at 6 months. For women over age 36 we now suggest fertility evaluation after 6 unsuccessful months, but at 19 Y.O. That is much more aggressive than you need be. Most doctors are glad to help you at any point though.

Get checked: Even though 6 months is not too long and there may be nothing wrong.You have to have unprotected sex for at least12 months before you start getting checked for infertility in men and women.The tests in men are examination and sperm exam for count and mobility.And in women exam and testing include pap smear, ovulation and to check patency of fallopian tube.
