See details: There are many reasons why women are unable to get pregnant besides ovulation disorders. These can be related to the male or female. Conception: The average is 6 months for conception to happen as long as there are no problems. Most gynecologists would wait 12 months before looking into a problem. Keep trying. If your periods are regular it sound like you should be able to conceive. Talk to your OB/GYN

May be the timing.: Pregnancy is most likely to occur from sex on any or all of the five days leading to ovulation. After trying for a year if conception does not happen see an infertility specialist to have you and your partner checked.
