Related ?: An inguinal hernia occurs when a piece of intestine slips into the canal that your testicles came through during your development in the uterus. A small defect in the protective covering allow bulging but is easily fixed. This would not be enough to cause constipation but the straining at the stool could cause hernia pain and make you push less hard. If you have a hernia, surgery is needed.

Doubtful : Inguinal hernia is usually not a cause if constipation. It can rarely be associated with actual bowel obstruction when a part of the intestine gets trapped in the hernia sac. If you have a hernia that is associated with any symptoms get it fixed.
