Get it checked out: Go back to the surgeon that did your procedure and let him/her examine you to rule out worst case scenarios and clear you. Possible complications depend on actual type of repair procedure (ex, mesh or no mesh). We can't really do that for you without a live gloved hands-on examination.

Could be: strain on HEALING tissues..that's all! However if a bulge appears or pain continues check with the surgeon who did your repair! Hope this helps Dr Z

Hernia: you need to be checked by your surgeon to make sure you did not develop a hernia again especially if it was not repaired with mesh. It could just be a strain of the healing tissues.
