Yes: Urinary and kidney problems can definitely cause nausea and vomiting. If dry heaving is persisting, good idea to contact her doc.

Uti and nausea: The nausea could be caused by a chronic urinary infection. In such cases the blood urea nitrogen may rise and can cause vomiting or nsusea.
