Throat infection : Your symptoms of cough, swelling in your neck and associated throat pain suggest an infection. Often these are viral in nature and resolve with time. Use over the counter tylenol (acetaminophen) or advil to control discomfort or fever. If this is viral there should be some improvement soon. If these symptoms worsen or do not resolve, you need to see your doctor.
