My 3 month old baby has cough and his right neck side is swollen.. doctor said jis lymph node swollen and prescribed fenistil drops twice a day and saline nasal spray. will that reduce his cough and swelling.?

I see no reason to believe the swollen neck has anything to do with a cold. At that age it is usually the sternomastoid/neck muscle complex from muscle stretching at birth. This may need physical therapy if true. Keeping the nose open with the saline nasal spray is a good idea.

At this age congenital causes of neck swelling may be considered. A cyst may enlarge and lead to cough. An upper respiratory infection is possible and if he is using his neck muscles to breathe, please see your Pediatrician. The Fenistil is usually not indicated and may cause drowsiness. Watch for signs of fever and distress.
