Depends: Most people hope to have a normal vaginal birth. This is generally best for the mother and for the baby. However, there are sometimes complications and/or circumstances that require a c-section. When this happens, the medical professionals will explain the risks and benefits and you all will decide together. Sometimes there is an emergency that requires immediate action.
