Consider hypnosis: Consider hypnosis and or progressive desensitization to overcome the phobia. Both techniques can cure you of the phobia. Find a psychologist who can teach you these simple interventions. Sometimes additional psychotherapy may be needed if the phobia is connected to a traumatic event. Let us know how you do!

Phobia: If you had a negative experience involving throat pain it may take time to override the negative memory. Talk openly about your experience with those close to you as to how it came about that you fear throat pain, most likely you have a story to tell. Share your feelings and thoughts with your doctor, if it does not subside consult a mental health professional. My best.
