A member asked:

Hi. i suspect i have a cystocele, but i have a phobia of obgyns & invasive touch. can this be diagnosed and treated externally, like by ultrasound or surgery via the abdomen? thanks.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Surgeon is an artist: No patient should want a surgeon to do any cutting, moving things around, suturing, or whatnot, unless the surgeon has done more than one good, thorough exam of the patient's problematic body parts inside and out. This is real life. We don't have medical androids or robotic machines acting independently. Human contact is still the key. Phobias are treatable. One's doctor can help.
