Recent?: If this just lasts for a few days, no need to see a doctor unless you are greatly bothered. But if it persists over 2 weeks, then you should consider seeing a doctor.

Many possibilities: Could be allergies, a cold, laryngopharyngeal reflux, infection, a mass etc. An ENT doctor could pass a scope in your nose to check your throat in clinic that could give a really good ideal what is going on. If i had to bet, i would say reflux. But you will only know by seeing a doctor.

Doctors choice: I would see an allergist first and if need be i would follow up with an ENT specialist. The allergist can quickly determine the offending allergen.
