I've had a chronic sore throat & cough for about 7/8 months now. i've been to the doctor & they say it's just allergies, but my sore throat get worse.

See GI: Since you have provided so little info about yourself, my best guess would be a reflux problem which is causing the sore throat and the cough. Need confirmation however.
