Sorry need more info: Not sure what you mean by "lite" diet. Nor do I know what your "favourites" are that aggravate your stomach. For some, acid & spicy foods cause heartburn. For others, gluten brings on their celiac disease. Some folks w/gall stones notice right upper quadrant pain w/fatty food. Regardless, it's time you go see your family doc for evaluation & treatment (assuming you can't avoid your "favourites").

Gastritis vs. ucler: You may have the inflammation of your stomach, called gastritis, or even a stomach or duodenal ulcer. First, you will need to avoid foods known to cause/aggravate your pain. Over-the-counter acid reducers such as ranitidine or Famotidine or Omeprazole may be tried. Make sure you take them by 30 minutes before you eat. The first two ones twice daily. Omeprazole once to twice daily. Up to 6 weeks.
