Palpitations: The feeling of skipping or racing heart beats can be quite distressing. Sometimes it is related to easily identified causes, like excess caffeine from coffee, tea, energy drinks, sodas. But if you have a long history of them you should see your doctor for blood tests, ecg, echocardiogram, and perhaps further testing with an event monitor and a cardiology evaluation.

Very annoying: Your symptom is very annoying but not dangerous - i get it too and sympathize! be sure you don't have an electrolyte imbalance (sodium, potassium, magnesium by getting a blood sample), avoid stimulants like caffeine and nicotine, and get plenty of sleep. If it persists, medications can help.
