Is there something natural i can take that has the same effect as pain meds such as norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) or vicodine for back pain? pain is making everyday hard.

No: I am not aware of any natural remedies which have the same potency as hydrocodone (which, with acetominophen-tylenol-are the active ingredients in Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) and vicodin), although there are some natural remedies which have anti-inflammatory effects, such as turmeric, fish oil, capsaicin. Most back pain shouldn't be treated with pain meds-rather, pt, exercise, activity, diet should be the cornerstones.

NOPE: Opiates are opiates, there is no "natural" equivalent. Trials of nsaids are often recommended if opiates are not working.
