The Longest: Although it depends on the type of lung cancer, stage 1 lung cancer patients can have a five year survival rate of 60-80%, with some studies saying even 90%. (http://lungcancer.About.Com/od/whatislungcancer/f/stage1lifeexpectancy.Htm). A 60% "five-year survival" means that, at five years, 60% of patients are still alive. Granted, this is not the best, but it is the best for lung cancer...

Can be high: Small size, peripheral, squamous cell can be cured. 70-90% at five years depends on cell type- small cell cancer is still a bad actor.

Depends on type: Survival can range from 60% to as high as 90+%. Survival is individual and depends on cancer type, treatment, and general health at time of diagnosis. Best outcomes are achieved with a multi-discipline thoracic oncology approach.
