A member asked:

Can a uti cause you to get a overactive bladder that wont go away ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not if well treated: If you are still having symptoms check with the md who treated the infection and have a urine sample sent to the lab for a culture and sensitivity to see if the previous antibiotic completely treated the infection. If not, bacterial resistance to the antibiotic requires a different treatment medication.
