UTI : Urinary tract infection is common in women and although sexual activity can contribute, it is not a sexually transmitted disease. Most often, bacteria from the anal region make their way to the urethral opening in vulnerable patients. Bacteria increase during menses and pad/tampon use increase the bacteria present.
