Upper left quadrant: Pain associated with back pain may be associated with simple "gas, " kidney issues (though the pain can often be severe), a history of trauma, muscle strain, rib tenderness...Keep a watchful eye. Should fever, worsening pain, nausea, or GI symptoms develop, consider speaking with your pcp for some helpful advice.
