OTC medications: There are over-the-counter (otc) meds that can be purchased such as Azo standard (phenazopyridine) or Pyridium that can ease the burning. Note that these meds will make your urine orange and can stain things. It is also important to drink plenty of water and if possible, take nsaids like aleve with food. It should clear up in the next 12-24 hours. If it persists beyond that then contact your doctor.
