With & without dye: In these studies, "contrast" = dye so that blood vessels and other structures may be more clearly seen. With contrast & without contrast each have their applications -- putting both together will give your doctors the kind of information they need to help you. Your body will naturally excrete the contrast material ("dye") fairly quickly, on its own.
