Become informed: This rare pattern of premature aging is seldom seen by primary care providers. Assessment and confirmantion of any such DX by a geneticist is imperitive. Most work with a team of specialists who can monitor the DX specific healthrisks & provide guidence for your local source of care. They can also help you find support groups & other parents in the same situation.

Symptomatic Tx.: Occupational & physical therapy can help with joint stiffness. Meds may be needed such as statins, Lonafarnib (farnesyltransferase inhibitor), nitroglycerin for angina, anticoagulant therapy (TIA's, strokes,or heart attacks) & anticongestive treatments for congestive heart failure. Diet becomes important after puberty. Sometimes cardiac surgery is needed.
