Most new mutations: Progeria is a self limited geneticnprocess with most recorded cases appearing as new mutations in families that have other normal children. There are rare sibships reported indicating an autosomal recessive form exists.Most don't survive their teens.There is no known cure.

There can be total loss of hair, wrinkled skin,loss of vision, scleroderma, large head to body ratio, small jaw,renal failure & cardiovascular problems that usually result in death. There is no cure for Progeria.
