Fractured wrist: Should not imply inactivity. It is important to keep active both large muscles away from fracture for general health and circulation and the muscles or the hand and forearm. Working on finger rom, elbow and firearm motion are crucial so that once the wrist is allied toove therapy can be directed towards that while everything else had been addressed. You tell me: What did you do to entertain yourself before? You have a broken wrist - don't lift heavy weights, play tennis, or ultimate frisbee. You are encouraged to use your wrist for light activity - writing, typing, video games, use of stress ball - and iif your doctor allows, light weights can be used. Movement and loading of the wrist without overdoing it helps the recovery of wrist function.
