There : There has been some success for hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating) with the following treatments: over-the-counter antiperspirants- try one that contains aluminum chloride prescription-strength antiperspirants: those contain aluminum chloride hexahydrate and can be prescribed by your doctor iontophoresis- this is a device that passes direct electricity through the skin using tap water oral medications- there is a faimily medications known as anticholinergics, these medications have been known to decrease sweating. Botox- this has been approved by the fda for treating excessive underarm sweating surgery: a surgery called a cervical sympathectomy is usually the ast resort your primary care provider or dermatologist can evaluate your case and decide if any of these treatments are right for you.
