C. diff: C. Diff, esp severe enough for hospitalization, can take its toll on the body during and even short time after treatment, due to the inflammatory effects of the toxin. It will take time for the lining of the colon to recalibrate. C. Diff treatment is usually 10-14d, bacterial shedding can occur wks after. If you suspect relapse, have your md check stool c. Diff 2wks after finishing treatment.
