Pelvic pain: Ovarian apoplexy, or rupture of the ovary with hemorrhage, can be associated with pelvic pain and dizziness +/- fainting and other symptoms associated with intra-abdominal hemorrhage. Diagnosis is typically made with pelvic sonogram. However, other important causes of pelvic pain may be missed by sonogram. If symptoms are not improving, consult your physician.

When to go back: This is a great question for an OB provider. It may be that the soreness lasts for a while. Going back to the hospital would not stop this. But you should go back if you have fevers, or if you cannot eat, or breathe, or if the pain has become much worse. They may need to check you again.
