Cmhc's: Your local community mental health centers are your best bet. They offer a sliding fee schedule and in my early years i saw one patient for a dollar. There are also research programs or pro bono programs that you can ask local doctors or mental health hospitals or clinics about.

It is hard: Fortunately your area might be easier than most. Medicare & medicaid are obvious suggestions - also, universities may have training clinics with student therapists or research projects. Some clinicians have sliding scales, some do pro bono work, some might do a work-it-off plan, some groups might be less costly or free. Good luck!

Psychotherapy: There are many clinics which charge a very minimal amount for treatment. College counseling centers or many college doctoral programs are manned by doctoral students who are supervised will conducting therapy. Those services are probably free to anyone in the community.
