Lymph Node: Best to have it biopsied since you seem very worried most likely benign due to chronic allergy or infection other causes could be TB or cancer etc.

What side?: Usually a small soft lymph node in the neck<1cm can be watched. Nodes just above the clavicle can drain the chest so can enlarge with a chest infection. However the side is important as nodes above the left clavicle drain the chest, breast, and abdomen and can the the first sign of inflammation or cancer in these areas (virchows node). Right side has similar but less concerns. See md?
