IBD : You didn't mention which ibd you have? Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis! how long you have the disease? I don't see you taking any medication, at least not from this history. Are you on remission or relapse? Why do you want surgery? Please leave up to your doctor, who is treating you, to decide when you need surgery. Some have good result and some don't. Good luck.

Rectal bleeding for 5 months, sent to GI doctor. told its normal for IBD patients. i asked if its hemorrhoids, they said unlikely. i dont know where the bleed is, isnt anyone supposed to physically check to see if it is hemorrhoids or something else?
Erythema noted on Colonoscopy. Does this always mean IBD? No ulcers or other forms of inflammation noted, just the erythema in the Sigmoid region. Stressing myself over it, GI didn't seem all that concerned or mention IBD in the talks after operation?
In November 2020, I had appendix operation. In January 2021 I had anal fissure due to severe constipation. After that I was scared of IBD and went to many GI doctors. Had calprotectin, crp, stool, ESR, and reports are OK. Fissure still healing?
