Both local and systm: Although very different diseases, Crohn's and ulcerative colitis both may present with any of the following symptoms: abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea, rectal bleeding, severe internal cramps/muscle spasms in the region of the pelvis, weight loss and various associated complaints or diseases like arthritis, pyoderma gangrenosum, and primary sclerosing cholangitis.

Wide variety: Ibd is a spectrum of diseases that includes crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and indeterminate colitis. These disease may vary in their distribution and associated symptoms. Because it represents inflammation of the GI tract - and pain, diarrhea, bleeding and wt loss is common. It can also have extra intestinal manifestations - skin, eyes, joints, liver.
