Probablly not: You were using an antibiotic cream on it which would help with many bacterial infections. When you went to the doctor they diagnosed a yeast infection which is not helped by antibiotic cream. So they recommended a different cream that would help to kill the yeast. You should be fine. If the symptoms don't get better or return, then you should see the doctor again for further evaluation.
