What dose it mean when health web/sites ask if you stedentary or light activity, moderate, or very active? how can one determine what they are?

By example: One's level of activity might be likened as follows: sedentary is a "couch potato" who avoids movement. Light activity is what an old arthritic adult might perform. Moderate activity would be the efforts an housekeeper makes. A very active person would be an athlete.
