Could help or hurt: Surfing the web for intellectual and recreational stimulation in moderation is probably better than staring at a movie re-run for the 35th time. However, it can become obsessive if it comes at a cost to balance in life, especially the basics such as eating right, getting enough rest to be productive, sleeping right, exercising and of course relating to people.
